Lyon vs Ajax – Europa League
Thursday 11th May 20:05, Parc Olympique Lyonnais
Match Preview and Betting Tips
Ajax are the overwhelming favourites to reach the Europa League final ahead of Lyon, despite the Ligue 1 side playing at home tomorrow. The 1st leg saw Ajax score 4 times and only concede once, so Lyon have to be at their best tomorrow and probably can’t afford to concede.
Both sides have been in decent form of late, winning four and losing just two of their last six in all competitions. Both teams are in good scoring form which leads me to believe that we wont be in for a goalless draw tomorrow.
Lacazette and Fekir have scored 4 goals each in the Europa League this season, so Lyon do have the scoring power to overturn this deficit, but the question really is about where or not they can stop Ajax from scoring.
Dolberg has 5 goals in this competition, while teammates Traoré and Younes have 4 each, and the team have recorded 4-0, 4-1 and 5-1 wins in there last five games.
I’m not sure which way the result is going to go tomorrow, but I can’t see there being less than 3 goals scored and both teams to get goals in the game. Lyon should come out flying and with that in mind I’ve got my money on Lacazette to score first.

Lyon vs Ajax Stats
There have been 5 games between these two sides before, and Lyon are still yet to find a winning formula against Ajax.
Last weeks 4-1 1st leg win began with a 25th minute strike from Traoré, and by the 49th minute Ajax found themselves 3-0 up thanks to goals from Dolberg and Younes.
Valbuena gave the visitors some hope in the 66th minute, but another goal from Traoré made the final score 4-1 and leaves the Ligue 1 side with plenty of work to do tomorrow.
Lyon have W0-D2-L3 against Ajax
Goals Scored: Lyon 2 | Ajax 8
