Man Utd vs Crystal Palace – Premier League
Sunday 21st May 15:00, Old Trafford
Match Preview and Betting Tips
Don’t expect full strength starting elevens from United or Palace this weekend, as the hosts have their eyes firmly set on the Europa League final against Ajax, while the Eagles still have a number of key players out injured.
United are guaranteed to finish 6th this season, while the best Palace could achieve with a victory from this game is an 11th place finish, but even then they would need results elsewhere to go in their favour.
The hosts have only managed to win one from their last six matches, and that victory arrived in the Europa League. Palace have picked up two wins during that same period, and last time out hammered a poor Hull City side 4-0 to secure their Premier League status for a record breaking 5th successive season.
Allardyce has done a good job keeping the Eagles in the top flight, and one wonders whether he has a final surprise up his sleeve this weekend.
I’m backing this game to end in a draw and for under 2.5 goals to be scored. Despite my prediction of a low or no score draw, I think the game will see both sides have their chances, which is why I’m also backing both teams to have two or more corners in each half. My third bet is going on the Belgian duo Fellaini and Benteke to get booked, as they have received more yellow cards than any of their teammates this season and like to make their presence known in most games.

Man Utd vs Crystal Palace Stats
There have been 42 previous encounters between The Red Devils and The Eagles, but only on 6 occasions so far have Palace been able to come up with a winning formula against United.
When the two sides went head to head in December for their reverse league fixture, goals from big summer signings Pogba and Ibrahimovic helped United to a 2-1 win at Selhurst Park.
The visitors just did enough to earn their victory, but on another day Palace might have pinched a point.
