Celta Vigo vs Man Utd – Europa League
Thursday 4th May 20:05, Estadio de Balaídos
Match Preview and Betting Tips
Manchester United are firm favourites to lift the Europa League and booked a place in next seasons Champions League, but with star striker Ibrahimovic confirmed out for the rest of the campaign fixture against Celta Vigo, and/or Lyon/Ajax now suddenly appear much tougher tasks.
Tomorrow the visitors will be looking for an away goal and a draw at the very least ahead of their return leg in Manchester, and the bookies still have Utd down as the favourites despite missing their Swedish talisman.
Celta Vigo have performed poorly in the league this season and may end up finishing in the bottom half of the table. The Europa League has become their fans only means of joy this season and could still yet lead to a Champions League place at the expense of whichever side ends up finishing 4th in La Liga.
Both sides have performed to very similar levels in the EL so far, with former Liverpool front man Aspas top scoring for the hosts with 5 goals and both Ibrahimovic and Mkhitaryan on the same amount for United.
Losing their Swedish striker is going to hurt United, and where I once thought they would win this fixture, I now predict a draw with under 2.5 goals being scored. This result would still be decent for United who will be confident of beating any of the remaining teams left in the competition at Old Trafford.
Herrera has been booked 4 times in the Europa League this season and I expect the Spaniard to put chasing and harassing the creative players which will most likely lead to a booking.

Celta Vigo vs Man Utd Stats
These two sides have never met before, but both have enough experience playing against sides from their oppositions country. Celta have played Arsenal, Liverpool, Aston Villa and Newcastle before, picking up five wins, four defeats and never producing a single stalemate.
This match feels like its going to be close and should be low scoring, but the home side are capable of banging in the goals when they are in the grove, and its not just Aspas United need to worry about as Celta have their own Swedish striker in former Man City youngster Guidetti. With 4 goals in the EL this season, Guidetti might just be worth a punt on first goalscorer tomorrow at 6/1 on SkyBet.
