West Brom vs Leicester – Premier League

Match Preview and Betting Tips

West Brom won’t be finishing any higher than 8th with Everton so far ahead on points as well as goal difference, while their opponent this weekend, Leicester, still a couple more wins to insure their status as a top flight team for another season.

Both teams head into tomorrows game in poor form, with each winning just one of their last six matches in all competitions. It has now been four games without a win for West Brom in the league, and three for visitors Leicester and that could suggest that we will have a poor game between the two tomorrow, but I’m not convinced.

Now that their Champions League journey is over Leicester can concentrate on retaining their Premier League place and a 2-2 draw away at in form Palace and a narrow 1-0 defeat at the Emirates suggests that the Foxes aren’t playing too badly and should return to winning ways soon enough.

West Brom have not managed to score in any of their last four matches, but Leicester’s defence has been generous of late so don’t be surprised if the Baggies end their goalless run tomorrow.

I’ve decided to go with a Leicester win and both teams to score, with the final result reading 2-1 to the visitors. I’ve picked Vardy to score first as I think his pace on the counter will be a big test for West Brom slow centre backs, but at the other end the hosts should have a big advantage from set pieces.

West Brom vs Leicester Stats

These two old rivals know each other very well having locked horns 83 times before. West Brom hold a decent head to head advantage over the Foxes and beat them earlier in the season.

Leicester played hosts to the Baggies back in November where after a goalless first half Morrison put the visitors in front just 7 minutes after the restart.

A goal from Algerian striker Slimani 3 minutes after going behind brought the two clubs level, but Scottish winger Matt Phillips scored what turned out to be the winning goal in the 72nd minute.
